People always have questions about student loan interest. Today I talk about how to calculate interest. It is a simple formula where you take the interest rate (as a decimal) and multiple it by the principal and divide by 365 (since it's daily). So if you have a balance of $5,000 and an interest rate of 5.6 just take $5,000 (.056) and then divided that answer by 365 for daily interest.
